Dawei Zheng, MD, ABFM, is a family medicine physician practicing in Sacramento, California.
Dr. Zhen was born into a family of physicians. In 1983, he graduated with the highest academic honors from Shandong Medical University in China. During his doctoral research in Japan, he sharpened his clinical skills even further. From 1996 to 1999, he completed a family practice residency at Texas Tech University. He is certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is also a staff physician at Sutter and Mercy General Hospitals. He has almost 40 years of clinical experience, including in preventive care, sports medicine, and office surgeries.
Dr. Zheng has been actively involved in many different community service organizations and volunteer programs. He is one of the founders and the first president of the Chinese American Medical Association of California (CAMAC).
Dr. Zheng loves spending time with his patients, understanding their stories and issues, and building strong relationships with them and their family members.
